Kicking the habits, now.
because you deserve it.
Kicking the habits, now.
My friend tells me that it’s better to run on grass or sand. It’s a smoother run and it takes less strain on your joints. I definitely felt a difference in both my knees and my feet running on grass. Plus, it’s pretty amazing where some paths can take you.
Just be aware of your surroundings, and be wise running at night!
I am going to print this and post at home and in my office at work….brilliant words of wisdom!!
Now that I’m old and gray (but not quite in my rocker yet!), I look back on my life and think about things I wish I knew earlier. It would have made my life so much easier if I knew…

Ran alone today. Decided to run around the campus..normally that would be a bad idea since our school has been notorious for having assaults on or near it. I thought that it being daylight out it should be okay.
Maybe the fact that there are so many different routes at CSULB it will keep running around it somewhat interesting.

It’s amazing how much motivation a personal trainer can give you.
My friend was a track star in HS and is willing to drill me almost every day before he leaves. For once, he is seeing me at my most vulnerable, tired, panting and sweating up a storm… and he keeps pushing me. He believes in me and I love hearing him tell me that I can do it, I got this. Sometimes when I’m running on my own I can hear him telling me those same things. Then it just turns into me motivating myself.
I’m feeling better running these days. I cut soda and fast food out of my diet (mostly for financial reasons) but I already feel better about where I’m at. Stretching out my sore muscles feels so relaxing and SO much better.
I know I can make it and make this a lifestyle. I’m going to.
